In an attempt to respond to the devastation of the tsunami of March 2011, 1000 Cranes for Japan
was born.

In japan it is believed that folding 1,000 origami cranes makes a wish come true; a symbolic rallying point for the world’s collective humanity.

Artists, designers and illustrators from all around the world to contributed by designing a crane and promoting it through their own social networks.

Within three days the cause had a life of its own and was sending ripples of hope across the oceans.  Communities donated, downloaded and folded Origami Cranes in support of Japan.
